Loyola Defeats Chicago State In Dual Match

CHICAGO - Sophomore Michelle Puch fired an 80 to lead Loyola University Chicago to a 326-363 victory over city rival Chicago State yesterday in a dual match at Winnetka Golf Club in Winnetka, Ill. The Ramblers' were playing in a match that originally did not appear on the schedule.

Puch shot a 38 on the front nine and finished with an 80 for the top score among all golfers. Loyola's other three golfers - Marissa Capriola, Kaitlin Kearney and Katelyn Gibbons - each carded an 82 to tie for second place overall.

The Ramblers will compete at the Horizon League Championships, May 1-2 in Carmel, Ind.
