Chris Kozlarek Name MIVA Player of the Week

Kozlarek averaged 4.75 kills, 1.12 digs and .38 blocks last weekend

Chicago, Ill. (February 15, 2005) – Loyola opposite Chris Kozlarek (Evergreen Park, Ill.) was selected as the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Player of the Week, the first Rambler selected this season.

Kozlarek led Loyola to two MIVA road wins against IPFW and Findlay helping the Ramblers remain undefeated in league action. Against IPFW Kozlarek had a career-high 25 kills, hitting .340 for the match and adding in two assists, one ace serve, six digs and one assist block. Kozlarek had a team-high 13 kills in the 3-0 (30-21, 30-18, 30-22) win against the Findlay, hitting .391, with one ace, three digs and three assist blocks.

The Ramblers are now 9-1 overall and 3-0 in the MIVA. Tonight they will face rival #15 Lewis in Alumni Gym at 7:00 p.m.
