#13 Ramblers Come Back to Defeat IPFW

Scott Greene records second double-double this year
Box ScoreChicago, Ill. (February 11, 2005) – The Loyola men’s volleyball team secured another 3-2 win this evening against MIVA opponent, IPFW. The Mastodons held a 2-1 lead in match, but the Ramblers fought back to win 26-30, 30-22, 28-30, 30-27, and 15-11. The Ramblers now move to 8-1, 2-0 in the MIVA.
The Ramblers had five players hit for double-figure kills, with Chris Kozlarek’s new personal best, 25 kills leading the team. Scott Greene recorded his second double-double this season with 24 kills and 16 digs, both personal-bests and had 4 service aces. James Grunst and Corey Kloos added in 12 kills apiece, while Chris Nelson pitched in another 10 for the win.
Loyola out-hit IPFW .311 to .280 in the match, with the ‘Dons recording 16 team blocks to Loyola’s 8. Brian Guntli chipped in 68 assists and Krystian Krzyzak nabbed 11 digs for the Ramblers.
Loyola returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, February 12, as they travel to take on Findlay at 3:00 p.m.
