Oct. 10, 2005 CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago will host the 2005 Sports is Education Symposium on Thursday, October 20 at the 25 E. Pearson Building on the Water Tower Campus. The session begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. Panel topics include coaches qualification and management, parent interaction, club sports and performance enhancing drugs. Specifically designed for school administrators, principals, athletic directors and coaches, the symposium addresses cutting-edge topics in the field of education, law and sports. The symposium promotes professional development, networking and the exchange of ideas among administrators. Barry Temkin, high school sportswriter for the Chicago Tribune, will be the keynote speaker for the event. Early registration fee is $40 and the half-day session also includes lunch during the keynote speaker address.
