Jan. 24, 2006 CHICAGO - Fifty-two Loyola University Chicago student-athletes were placed on the 2005 Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll, the conference announced today. Butler was tops on the list with 78 student-athletes selected to the honor roll, followed by UW-Milwaukee (69), UW-Green Bay (58), Wright State (58), Youngstown State (58), Detroit (53), Loyola, Cleveland State (44) and UIC (44). 20 members of the LU men's and women's soccer teams were honored to lead all LU sport teams, while 30 student-athletes on the list were honored on the League's 2005 Spring Academic Honor Roll. To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, candidates need to meet three criteria: 1.) participate in at least one of the 19 League-sponsored sports; 2.) must have completed three semesters (four quarters on the quarter system) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3.) must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 as of Dec. 31, 2005.
