Linda Ohrin enters her third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Greyhounds. Ohrin works primarily with the goalkeepers.
Ohrin was a four-year starter at Loyola from 1990-94 were she earned All-America status. Ohrin was named to the regional All-America team in her junior and senior seasons as well as earning USWLA first-team All-America status as a junior and IWLCA/Brine Third Team All-America recognition as a senior. She led the Greyhounds to the NCAA Final Four in 1994. Last winter she was inducted in the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
"Linda was a top goalkeeper at Loyola College," head coach Kerri O'Day said. "We've seen a huge improvement in out goaltending since she joined our staff and I am eager to see that play advance in the spring."
Ohrin most recently was the head women's lacrosse coach at Towson from 1998-2003. Prior to her work at Towson, she worked for three years as an assistant coach at Georgetown.
"Linda is extremely energetic and is a great teacher," O'Day said. "She understands the Loyola traditions and is on board with the staff to teach that to the current team."
Ohrin earned her degree from Loyola in 1994 in elementary education. In addition to volunteering at Loyola, she is a Marketing and Sales Manager for M & R Floors, Inc. and is the co-owner of Between the Pipes Goalie Camps.
