Annapolis, Md. - Saturday's final round of the Navy Spring Invitational was called due to snow, leaving Loyola tied for fourth in the final team standings. The Greyhounds, as well as the rest of the field awoke to an inch of snow on the course, making Friday's 304 the official team score for the event.
Senior captain Will Shriver led Loyola with an opening round of 73 at the Naval Academy Golf Club.
"Given the conditions of the course and weather, I feel like we got off to a good start," said Head Coach Tom Beidleman after Friday's opening round. "We hung in there and put ourselves in good position to make a move on Saturday."
Unfortunately for Loyola, it will have to settle for fourth place finish in the 24-team field.
