Philadelphia, Miss. - Heavy rain and cold temperatures force officials to cancel the final round of the Pizza Hut Invitational in Philadelphia, Mississippi on Monday afternoon, giving the Loyola men's golf team a fourth-place finish in the 13-team event.
The Greyhounds, which posted a 303 in Sunday's first round, end the tournament six strokes back of tournament-champion Winthrop and four strokes back of runner-up and tournament host Jackson State.
Junior Will Shriver and freshman Michael Mulieri led the Greyhounds with rounds of 74 on Sunday. Loyola, which placed ninth in their spring opener last weekend at Pala Mesa, now travel to South Florida for the Fort Lauderdale Spring Classic on Thursday-Friday, March 9-10.
