April 27, 2007

Karen Robichaud, cross county and track and field coach for Lipscomb University, has announced the signing of Jenna Forrest from Lebanon, Tenn.

"It's a good school that has the Christian atmosphere I was looking for in a university," Forrest said. "I've had several family members graduate from Lipscomb. I just knew it was a good school with great people."

Forrest, 5-foot-9, participates in the high hurdles, where she set a school record for Lebanon High; the low hurdles, the long jump and the triple jump. Her best long jump effort is 16 feet, six inches.

She has received numerous school awards in track. She was the "Sprint MVP" in 2004. She was the 2005 "Event MVP" in 2005 and 2006. She lettered in track and field from 2004-2007.

Forrest lettered in soccer from 2004-2006. She was an All-District selection in soccer in 2004, 2005 and 2006. She was also "Offensive MVP" in soccer in 2004 and the "Defensive MVP" in 2006.

She also lettered in cross country in 2005.

She won the senior award for "Most Spirited". She was also the sports editor of the school newspaper. She was named a Tennessee Scholar for her efforts in the classroom.
