CLEVELAND, Miss. - Lewis University golfer Sumeet Arora carded a season-best 2-under-par 70 in the final round and tied for seventh place in a large field at Delta State University's Derrall Foreman Invitational. Arora shot a 73 in the first round and finished at 143, just four strokes behind medalist B.J. Hawkins of Arkansas Tech. The sophomore led the Flyers (298-294=592) to sixth place in the 22-team, 117-player field. Lloyd Roth (75-74=149) and Brian Carlson (77-72=149) tied for 21st. Peter Tanaka (73-78=151) tied for 30th, and Greg Roderique (83-79=162) tied for 86th. Tanaka's opening-round 73 tied his season best. The tournament concluded the Flyers' fall season. |
