April 3, 2004 OAK BROOK - Three Lewis University golfers finished among the top 10 Saturday as the Flyers placed second in the 15-team Elmhurst College Invitational at Oak Brook Golf Club. Lewis shot 321, three strokes behind North Park, in its final tune-up before next week's Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship. The conference tournament will be played April 12-13 in Columbus, Ind. The Flyers' three top-10 performers were Jason Buffone, sixth (79), and Rob Peters and Lloyd Roth, tied for seventh (80). Tres Steffey (82) tied for 13th and Dennis McLain (85) tied for 29th in the 79-player field. |
