March 5, 2004 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Jason Buffone and Tres Steffey posted top-10 finishes to lead the Lewis University men's golf team to fifth place among 10 teams at the Florida A&M University Springtime tournament. Buffone tied for third, shooting 72-73=145, and Steffey tied for seventh with rounds of 72-77=149. Also competing for Lewis were Rob Peters, tied for 21st (77-77=154); Dennis McLain, 37th (81-81=162); Lloyd Roth, tied for 38th (79-84=163); Dean Katsaros, tied for 43rd (84-86=170); and Ryan Hewson, 45th (93-79=172). The Flyers shot 300-308=608 and finished one shot behind fourth-place Flagler. Stetson (591) was the team champion. |
