March 4, 2005 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Jason Buffone tied for eighth place among 43 golfers to lead Lewis University to a fifth-place finish at the Florida A&M Springtime men's golf tournament. Buffone shot 76-75 for a 7-over-par total of 151 at the 6,998-yard, par-72 Killearn Country Club. Curt Trizzino shot 76-78=154 and tied for 16th. Also competing for Lewis were Lloyd Roth, tied for 27th (80-80=160), Peter Schrum, tied for 27th (83-77=160), Rob Peters, 35th (82-83=165), Dean Katsaros, 36th (85-82=167), and Ryan Hewson, 39th (83-89=172). The Flyers posted team scores of 315 and 310 for a 625 total. Johnson & Wales (Fla.) won the team title at 597. |
