ROMEOVILLE - Lewis University senior Anthony Scala has been named to the 2004-05 All-Great Lakes Valley Conference men's basketball honorable-mention list.

Scala concluded the season 14th in NCAA Division II, second in the GLVC and first among Lewis players in 3-point field goals per game (3.37 average, 91 total). He led Lewis and ranked 13th in the GLVC in scoring average (14.1) and also led the Flyers in total field goals made (131), minutes (865) and starts (26, tied).

Scala averaged 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game and tied for second on the team with 69 defensive rebounds. He also was among the team's best in handling the ball, averaging just 2.08 turnovers per 40 minutes.

The 6-foot-2 guard scored a career-high 32 points against Wisconsin-Parkside (nine 3-pointers) and Northern Kentucky (eight 3-pointers). He sank five or more 3-pointers in eight games and scored 20 or more points seven times.
