ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University senior Andy Tremble has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Athlete of the Week for indoor track and field.

At the Iowa State Classic last Friday, Tremble anchored the Flyers' distance medley relay team that qualified automatically for the NCAA Division II Championship by running a school-record 9:51.51. That time, which ranks first in the GLVC and second in the nation, easily eclipsed the previous school mark of 9:55.09 set last year.

On Saturday, Tremble improved his NCAA provisional qualifying standing in the mile by posting a 4:10.55 clocking. That time ranks first in the GLVC and 10th nationally.
