KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Lewis recorded four victories at Truman State on Saturday afternoon. The Truman State men defeated Lewis 128-77 while the Truman State women won 163-42. Sophomore Adam Olszeski won the 200 yard individual medley (2:00.20) and 200 yard backstroke (1:58.63). Sophomore Ryan Harrison took third in the 100 yard backstroke (2:01.08). Sophomore Jared Zimmer finished first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:49.89. Freshman Kevin Coates just missed an NCAA B time in his victory in the 1000 yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 9:48.33. Sophomore Jason Ament was right behind Zimmer and Coates to finish in second in both races. Freshman Deirdre Mikolajcik took second in the 200 yard freestyle with an NCAA B time of 1:56.79, less than a second behind the first place finisher. In the men's 200 yard freestyle Zimmer (1:45.78) and freshman Allan Sliva (1:49.01) came in second and third. Sliva also finished third in the 100 yard freestyle, touching the wall at 49.22. Freshman Allie Henges finished in the points with a third place performance of 2:13.95 in the 200 yard butterfly. Senior Stephanie White-Olson had a third place (2:29.40) performance of her own in the 200 yard breaststroke. Freshman Arty Czarobski notched a third place finish (2:16.66) in the 200 yard breaststroke, a tenth of a second behind the second place finisher. Mikolajcik, sophomore Nicole Marano, freshman Stephanie Halcomb, and freshman Carrie Borgstede came in second in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Lewis holds their final home meet of the season next Friday at 5 p.m. against Wisconsin-Milwaukee. |
