Spinelli Earns All-League Nod

TAMPA, FL (August 4, 2003) - United Soccer Leagues announced the statistical award winners and All-League Teams for the Premier Development League and W-League for the 2003 season, and Tracey Spinelli (Langhorne, PA/Abp. Wood), a La Salle University women's soccer assistant coach and former player, was named to the team.

Spinelli, who ranked ninth nationally in 2000 with 12 assists and was a two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference First-Team selection, was one of four midfielders chosen to the All-League Team in the W-League. She played in 13 games and logged 1079 minutes for the Arizona Heatwave and scored four goals during the season. She was also named the team's MVP by her coaches and teammates, and was named to the Team of the Week on June 24.

La Salle's women's soccer program, which returns 17 letterwinners and nine starters this fall, will open under first-year head coach Paul Royal at Seton Hall on Aug. 29 at 3 p.m.
