At La Salle, the Explorers dominated the Philadelphia University Rams from start to finish in a 7-0 rout. The Explorers advanced to 7-2 on the fall season
In Doubles, Andy Petrusky and Ryan Knarr rolled in dominating fashion, 8-1, in the second position to get the action started and give the Explorers their first doubles point. At number one, Jon Maula and George Gennaoui took down the Rams duo of Kyle Kaltenbacher and Tom McAvoy, 8-5. McAvoy is the reigning PIAA state doubles champion. At number three, Matt Rivera and Eric Glick lost 8-5.
In singles, it was all Explorers, as La Salle rocked Philadelphia, winning all six singles matches. At number one, George Gennaoui rolled at to dominating 6-1, 6-1 victory. At number two, Matt Rivera was tested, but ultimately prevailed, 6-1, 6-4. At number three, Eric Glick had no problem cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 win in just over an hour. In the fourth position, Jon Maula made quick work of McAvoy, 6-2, 6-3. At number five, Andy Petrusky overwhelmed Mike Abate, winning 6-0, 6-0 in a match that lasted just 45 minutes. Chris Butera won at number six, 6-2, 6-3.
La Salle will next Explore the New England region of the United States, facing Rhode Island University this Saturday at noon.
