Soccer Takes Their Skills to St. Hugh Elementary

The Explorers visited St. Hugh Elementary in the Kensington area of Philadelphia to share their soccer knowledge and spend some time playing with the grade schoolers.

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Men's soccer team took a drive across the city to the Kensington area of Philadelphia on Tuesday. There, seventh and eighth graders of St. Hugh Elementary joined the Explorers on the playground, as they engaged in a variety of games and training practice with the children.

Activities throughout the clinic conducted by the Explorers included soccer skill sessions, as well as athletic challenges such as jump rope, ladder drills, and hurdles. The event taught a lot of the young soccer players-to-be fundamental skills of the game, all while enjoying a good time with the La Salle soccer team.

"This is where I attended grade school" said Coach Pat Farrell, "so to come back and be able to help out with these kids is really rewarding for everyone involved, including myself."
