Cajuste's Spring Play Helps Explorers to 3-1-1 Finish

Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle University men's soccer team wrapped up its spring season with a record of 3-1-1. The Explorers defeated Temple in the final game of the spring 3-1. La Salle also beat Army and Saint Joseph's, fell to Drexel and tied Oneonta.

La Salle head coach Pat Farrell called upon senior Brandon Cajuste to play goal for the spring season and Cajuste stepped up to finish the five games with a goals against average of 1.0.

In the final game against Temple, Farrell saw positive play out of freshmen Walter McMahon (Norristown, PA/Methacton) and Joe Heavey (Coatesville, PA/Devon Prep), who both scored a goal in the win.

Junior Ryan Moseley (Nassau, Bahamas/Queens College High School) scored the other goal for La Salle from senior Marc Rostant (San Fernando, Trinidad/Presentation College). Junior Josh France (Wilmington, DE/Salesianum) assisted on McMahon's goal, which was a header off France's corner kick.

La Salle will look to take this experience and build on it in the 2005 season.
