Steve Nejman brings over 18 years of coaching experience including two seasons at the professional level to his assignment as Offensive Coordinator and Quarter backs coach for the La Salle Explorers. Nejman's most recent experience came as as assistant coach for Father Judge High School. He handled the Crusader runningbacks and special teams from 2000 until his recent appointment at La Salle. Between 1998 and 1999 he was an assistant at Utah State where he coached tight ends and special teams while coordinating the All-Alaska Football Camp and running recruiting operations for the Aggies. A 1992 graduate of Weber State (Utah), Nejman spent 2001-2003 as a regional talent scout for the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League. He served in the same capacity for the CFL's Hamilton Tiger Cats during the 2005 season. Nejman also spent close to ten years on staff at Weber State where he handled a variety of duties between 1989 and 1997. His coaching career began at Bermidji State (Minnesota) where he added men's and women's track and field to his resume while also on the football team staff from 1987-1989. Nejman was also an assistant coach with tight-end and special team responsibilities for the Birmingham Thunderbolts of the short-lived XFL in 2001. |
