PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Explorers battled for all 40 minutes, but couldn't hold onto a 37-34 second half lead after suffering a 16-5 Fordham run that they couldn't bounce back from.

Fordham maintained the edge for most of the game, holding the lead for a total of 30 minutes and answering the call each time La Salle took a one or two-point lead. La Salle had more recurring problems with possession, giving up 23 points off of lost balls and almost doubling the Rams in turnovers with 21.

The Explorers got there biggest lead of the second half when, with the score tied at 34-34 seven minutes in, junior Darnell Harris (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances) scored his first points of the game when he was fouled on a jumper and made the ensuing foul shot. Then, just one minute and 40 seconds after opening up the 3-point lead, Harris was injured after tangling legs with an opponent. He would return to the floor later with one minute remaining but couldn't muster any additional points. His last foul shot was the 999th point of his career.

Freshman Rodney Green (Philadelphia, PA/Prep Charter) continued his stretch of double-figure games. He led La Salle scoring, walking away with 12 points and four rebounds. Ruben Guillandeaux (Brooklyn, NY/St. Patrick's) dropped another 10, shooting 2-2 from the stripe.

Next up the Explorers will be on the road against Charlotte (8-10, 2-4) at the Halton Arena in North Carolina. Game time is scheduled for 7:30PM.
