KENNESAW, Ga.--After winning its second match in Atlantic Sun Conference play, the Kennesaw State volleyball team will try to start a winning streak when it travels to Nashville, Tenn., to take on Lipscomb this Saturday. Match time is slated for 4:00 p.m.

"Lipscomb is a very solid team," said KSU head coach Valerie Jones. "They could end up being the best team in the conference this year. They will frustrate us in every aspect of the game. This will be an uphill battle, and certainly not a match where we can just walk in and expect to compete just by stepping on the court. We will have to be at the top of our game."

The Owls (4-19, 2-4 A-Sun) are coming off a 3-0 sweep of Campbell last Saturday at the KSU Convocation Center. A trio of players reached double figures in kills, with Sabrita Gulley leading the way with 11. Lindsey Plotner had her first double-double as an Owl with a 10 kill-10 dig performance. Jenny Black also hit the 10 kill mark for the evening.

Lipscomb (13-9, 5-2 A-Sun) is riding a seven-match winning streak after winning in five games at Chattanooga. After starting A-Sun play with back-to-back losses, the Lady Bisons have won five straight A-Sun matches. Sarah Snider leads Lipscomb with a 5.16 kills per game average to lead the A-Sun. Libero Ann Mullins is averaging 5.85 digs per game, ranking her second in the conference.

"We did some nice things against Campbell that we need to continue doing to be competitive against Lipscomb," said Coach Jones. "This will be our first time going up to Lipscomb for a match. They have some big wins this season, but we want to get a big win of our own."

Following Saturday's match, the Owls will return to the KSU Convocation Center next weekend for their final two home matches of the year. KSU will face Florida Gulf Coast next Friday at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Saturday tilt with Stetson at 4:00 p.m.
