KSU Hosts Final 2007 Tournament
April 27, 2007 KENNESAW, Ga. - The Kennesaw State Owls, who clinched at least a share of the 2007 Atlantic Sun Conference regular season championship earlier this week, will conclude the 2007 season this weekend when they host the 2007 KSU Invitational at Bailey Park. The five-team, three-day tournament begins with pool play on Friday morning and concludes on Sunday afternoon with the championship game. Joining Kennesaw State will be Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners (28-23-1) from the California Collegiate Athletic Association , the Northern Colorado Bears (7-37) from the Big Sky Conference and Mid-Continent Conference members North Dakota State Bison (31-21) and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (13-28). The format of the event will have the teams play each other in round-robin pool play. After each team has played four games, the playoffs begin with the first playoff game held on Saturday night between the fourth place and fifth place teams. The two semifinal games will be played on Sunday morning, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the championship game taking place at 1:00 p.m. The Owls play their first game on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. against South Dakota State and follow with a 4:00 p.m. game against Northern Colorado. Kennesaw state plays North Dakota State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. before finishing pool play against Cal State Bakersfield at 5:00 p.m. 2007 KSU Invitational Friday, April 27 Saturday, April 28 Sunday, April 29 |
