Yolisha Jackson is back for her third year on the KSU staff and her first year as a full-time assistant coach. Jackson came to the Lady Owls after a successful career as a player at Jacksonville University. Among her duties this season, Jackson will be assisting in working with post players and adding on the floor coaching input and analysis. In addition, she will be in charge of film exchange and academic progress. As a four-year star for Jacksonville, Jackson-Daniels ended her stellar playing career as the second player in JU history to score over 1,000 points in her career. She also left the Dolphins as the single-season record holder for points per game, points scored and career free-throws made. She was also named an All-Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference selection as well as being a former conference Player of the Week and two-time team Most Valuable Player. She had her career limited by a pair of knee injuries suffered in her junior year and the later half of her senior season. Jackson works diligently with the Big Boys and Big Girls Club of Clarksville, Tennessee, where she serves on the Board of Directors. She also works with youth camps around the southeast and has spent time working at numerous collegiate and professional camps. Jackson received her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville in Physical education, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Kennesaw State in 2006. A native of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jackson is recently married to former Jacksonville basketball player, James Daniels and the couple makes their home in Decatur. |
