Women's Cross Country Runs 13th at Mideast Regionals

CARLISLE, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team finished up its 2005 campaign with a 13th-place showing at the NCAA Mideast Regionals, hosted by Dickinson College on Saturday. Hopkins posted 404 points, taking the 13th spot out of 42 teams. Leading the way was Centennial Conference Champion Dickinson, placing six scorers in the top 15. Dickinson's Emily Hulme, who took the Centennial's individual title, paced the field on Saturday with a time of 22:06 on the 6k course. Tops among Blue Jay finishers was sophomore Angela Kaon (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan), who finished the race in 24:17, good for 46th out of 292 runners. Freshmen Rachel Hogen (Los Angeles, CA/Harvard-Westlake) and Emma Hiza (Nottingham, NH/Phillips Exeter Academy) finished 83rd and 84th, respectively.
