LANCASTER, PA - Freshman setter Amanda Lewis (San Antonio, TX/St. Mary's Hall), who posted 70 assists and 20 digs in a win Saturday at Haverford, was named Centennial Conference Co-Player of the Week in volleyball on Tuesday.

In Saturday's game, Lewis set a school five-game record with her 70 assists, passing Betsy Baydala's record of 68, set last season against McDaniel on Oct. 26.

On the defensive side, Lewis had 20 digs in the Haverford match, a career high.

This season, Lewis is the Centennial Conference leader in assists with 1,135 and needs only 53 more to match Michelle Dumler's single-season school record of 1,188, set in 1997.

In 21 of 24 matches, Lewis has collected 40 or more assists.

Lewis is the second Blue Jay to receive conference honors this season. Senior Jen Hajj (Boca Raton, FL/Pope John Paul II) also got the nod on Sept. 22.
