LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins junior outside hitter Stephanie Kaliades (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week for volleyball the conference announced Tuesday.

Kaliades totaled 53 kills, nine aces, and 24 digs to lead JHU to three Centennial Conference wins last week. She registered a team-high 18 kills and added 11 digs as Hopkins defeated Haverford in four games. Kaliades then tallied 20 kills and just one hitting error for a .432 hitting percentage and added seven aces in a 3-2 win at Muhlenberg. She finished the week with 15 kills and a .400 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of Swarthmore.

Kaliades, who leads the team with 341 kills, is one of three players to record over 300 kills in two different seasons after totaling 314 kills as a freshman. She ranks ninth all-time at Hopkins with 655 kills and needs just 59 kills to become the third player in school history with over 400 kills in a season. Kaliades also leads JHU with 43 service aces, is fourth with 166 digs, and ranks third with 33 blocks.

The Blue Jays (12-14, 3-0 Centennial) return to action Wednesday as Hopkins hosts Bryn Mawr at 7:00 p.m. in a Centennial Conference match.
