COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's track team competed at the University of Maryland Outdoor Invitational on Saturday. The Blue Jays got several strong performances from their distance runners in the meet.

Sophomore Rachel Hogen finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:19.59 while Bhavna Abbi was 13th with a time of 19:50.22. Freshman Laura Paulsen crossed the line with a time of 4:50.14 in the 1,500-meters, good for 10th place.

Freshman Mary O'Grady was eighth in the steeplechase as she crossed the line in 12:55.11. Giselle Joseph was 34th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.69. Teammates Viann Nguyen and Kathy Horn were right behind each other in the 400-meter dash with times of 1:04.08 and 1:04.53 respectively to finish 37th and 38th.

Krystina Laucik and Chantel Priolo finished 14th and 15th in the discus throw respectively. Laucik recorded a toss of 34.00m while Priolo tossed it 31.92m.

The Blue Jays are back in action on April 6th and 7th at the Duke Invitational.
