Tucker Announces 2008 Blue Jays Spring Tune Up for Girls

BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse head coach Janine Tucker announces the 2008 Blue Jays SPRING TUNE UP for Girls at Johns Hopkins. The two hour indoor session features speed work/conditioning for one hour and stick work/individual skill development for one hour. There are five available sessions for high school players in grades 8th through 12th. Dates are: January 6, 13, 20 and February 3, 10 (all Sundays). Stick work & skill development will focus on advanced stick handling, shooting, feeding, dodging, individual defense, double teams, and off-ball play which will prepare you for spring tryouts. Groups will be limited to 20 girls per session - 40 total participants. Group A will work on conditioning for an hour, while Group B works on skills development. Then the two groups will flip flop! Coaches include the JHU women's lacrosse staff, Chris Endlich, professional strength & conditioning trainer with JHU and Padonia Fitness and LA Riptide head coach John Tucker. The SPRING TUNE UP is designed for players who are looking to polish their skills and get in LACROSSE shape before the spring season starts.
