BALTIMORE, MD - The IWLCA has honored 141 student-athletes in Division I with inclusion on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Johns Hopkins seniors Natalie Cooper (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) and Kate Lipka (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis) were among those honored this week. In addition, the Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team was named as an Honor Squad after achieving a team GPA higher than a 3.0.
Student-athletes must be a junior or senior in academic standing and have achieved a high level of success in the classroom to be named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Both Cooper and Lipka were named to the 2005 IWLCA Honor Roll as juniors. Cooper completed her career at Hopkins a 3.70 GPA as a Psychology major. Lipka compiled a 3.66 GPA as a Cognitive Science major.
