Baltimore, MD - Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse players Jamie Larrimore (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) and Heidi Pearce (Chestertown, MD/St. Andrew's) were named Warrior/Inside Lacrosse Third Team All-Americans, it was announced last week.

Larrimore led Hopkins with 65 points and tied for the team lead with 47 goals this season, and was named to the All-American Lacrosse Conference Team last month. She ended her career ranked second on the school career goals list with 198 and fourth on the career points list with 253. This Saturday Larrimore will play alongside teammate Erin Wellner (East Williston, NY/Sacred Heart Academy) in the North/South Division I/II Senior All-Star Game at Loyola College.

Pearce, who tied for the team lead in goals with Larrimore, had a stellar sophomore season and was also named to the all-conference team. The midfielder was the only Blue Jay to score a goal in all 18 games this year and has scored at least one point in all 35 games of her career, a school Division I record. Pearce also set JHU Division I records by scoring eight goals and recording 10 points in a 23-11 win over Ohio University on March 17.

Princeton teammates Lauren Simone and Rachael Becker were named Attacker and Defender of the Year, respectively, while Virginia's Lauren Aumiller was named Midfielder of the Year and Loyola's Tricia Dabrowski was tabbed Goalkeeper of the Year. Cathy Swezey of Vanderbilt was named Coach of the Year and Amy Appelt of Virginia was selected Rookie of the Year.

Hopkins finished the 2002 season with a 10-8 record and competed in the ECAC Championship Game.
