Baltimore, MD - Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse seniors Jamie Larrimore (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) and Erin Wellner (East Williston, NY/Sacred Heart Academy) were selected to play in the 2002 North/South Division I/II Senior All-Star Game on Saturday, June 8, at Loyola College's Curley Field.

Larrimore and Wellner were two of 20 players selected to the South squad, while teammate Christy Peterson (Fallston, MD/Fallston) was named an alternate. The game, which is the final game of the 2002 STX Festival, is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

The two senior attackers are just the second and third Blue Jays ever to be selected to the North/South Division I/II Game, joining 2000 graduate Danielle Maschuci.

Larrimore led Hopkins with 65 points and tied for the team lead with 47 goals this season, and was named to the All-American Lacrosse Conference Team earlier this month. She ended her career second on the school career goals list with 198 and fourth on the career points list with 253.

Wellner recorded a team-high 31 assists this season and was second on the squad with 58 points. She finished her career ranked third on the school career assists list with 91 and is also ranked in the top 10 of the goals and points lists. Larrimore and Wellner are two of only six players in Hopkins history to record 200 career points.

Peterson recorded 18 goals and two assists in 2002 while starting every game and leading the team in shooting percentage, and scored a goal in 11 consecutive games this season. The Blue Jays went 10-8 this year and fell to Harvard, 9-8, in the ECAC Championship on Sunday.
