Despite winning both of its games last week, the Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team dropped one spot to No. 17 in this week's Brine/IWLCA Poll.
Senior attacker Jamie Larrimore (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) and sophomore midfielder Heidi Pearce (Chestertown, MD/St. Andrew's) led the Blue Jays to an 11-7 win over Northwestern last Tuesday and a 14-8 win at Richmond Saturday. Larrimore totaled nine goals and two assists in the two victories while Pearce added eight goals and an assist, combining for 17 of Hopkins' 25 goals last week.
Georgetown remained undefeated and stayed in the top spot, receiving all 10 first-place votes. Princeton, Loyola, Virginia, and North Carolina rounded out the top five.
Hopkins hosts No. 13 Ohio State Saturday at 11 a.m. in an important American Lacrosse Conference matchup.
