The Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team received 52 points and is ranked No. 17 in this week's IWLCA Poll released Monday.
The Blue Jays are 2-0 this season, defeating Davidson, 21-5, last Sunday before posting a 14-7 win at George Washington Thursday. Senior midfielder Heidi Pearce (Chestertown, MD/St. Andrew's-DE) leads Hopkins with 15 points on six goals and five assists, while freshman attacker Mary Key (Stevensville, MD/St. Mary's of Annapolis) has scored a team-high eight goals.
Princeton received all 15 first-place votes and is ranked in the top spot, followed by Duke, Maryland, Loyola and Georgetown. James Madison, Dartmouth, Syracuse, Virginia and Vanderbilt round out the top 10.
The Blue Jays host Towson Tuesday at 7 p.m.
