The Johns Hopkins women's fencing team lost three dual meets Saturday at Stevens Tech. The Blue Jays fell to Brandeis, 18-9, to open the day, followed by a 19-8 loss to Stevens Tech and a 23-4 loss to Temple.
Hopkins went 5-4 in the epee, 3-6 in the sabre, and 1-8 in the foil against the Judges, while the Blue Jays finished 5-4 in the sabre, 2-7 in the epee, and 1-8 in the foil vs. the host Ducks. JHU went 2-7 in the sabre, 2-7 in the epee, and 0-9 in the foil against the Owls.
The Blue Jays, who are now 9-10 this season, return to action Saturday at the Duke Invitational in Durham, NC. Hopkins will face the host Blue Devils along with Air Force, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Stanford.
