Hopkins Finishes Fourth at Lewis and Clark Pioneer Open

ESTACADA, OR - The Johns Hopkins men's cross-country team competed in the Lewis and Clark Pioneer Open on Saturday. The Blue Jays placed two runners in the top five on their way to a fourth place finish.
The team title was won by Carleton while Linfield took second place. Portland finished third while Puget Sound rounded out the top five. The individual title when to Jordan Foster of Portland who completed the course in 25:18.
Hopkins' top finisher was senior James Bronson II (Santa Ana, CA/Foothill) who completed the course in 25:25 to finish fourth. Fellow senior Patrick Brandon (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) was right behind Bronson with a time of 25:27 to grab fifth place. Geoff Nunns (Danville, CA/Monte Vista) finished 25th for the Blue Jays with a time of 26:22 while Steven Tobochnik (Kalamazoo, MI/Loy Norrix) was 28th to round out the Blue Jays in the top 30 with a time of 26:30.
Hopkins returns to action on October 27 at the Centennial Conference Championship. Race time in Lancaster, PA is set for 11:00 a.m.
