Men's Cross Country Wins York Invitational

YORK, Pa. - The Johns Hopkins mens cross country team won the York Invitational this morning in York, Pa by claiming the top-five individual spots. The win for the Blue Jays is their second victory of the year, the previous win coming in the Baltimore Metro Invitational. Junior Gabe Tonkin (Santa Barbara, CA/San Marcos) finished first with a time of 27:57.71, a personal best for him this season. Sophomore Travis Koh (Horshaw, PA/Hatboro-Horshaw), freshman Pat Brandon (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa), junior Andrew Bauerschmidt (Carle Place, NY/Carle Place) and sophomore Jason Chiang (Torrance, CA/West) finished in the second through fifth spots, respectively. All four runners finished within five seconds of each other. JHU will be off next weekend, and will next compete in the both the Walt Disney World Classic in Orlando, FL and the Goucher Invitational on Saturday, October 9. Mens Team Scores
