BALTIMORE, MD - Three Johns Hopkins men's soccer players were named to the D3Kicks.com Mid-Atlantic region team this week. Senior Danny Coble (Fremont, CA/Bellarmine College Prep) and junior Ben McAbee (Hagerstown, MD/North Hagerstown) were named to the First Team and sophomore Nicholas Gauna (Evanston, IL/Evanston) was named to the Third Team.

Coble, a unanimous First Team All-Centennial selection, played every minute in goal this season for the Blue Jays. His .43 goals against average ranks second in Hopkins single season history and fourth in the Centennial Conference. He posted a .896 save percentage which is sixth all-time in CC history. Coble posted 14 shutouts, tying the school and conference single season record and giving him 22 for his career. For his career, he has a .587 goals against average, which ranks second in school and conference history and 12th in NCAA Division III history.

McAbee had career highs in goals and points with 11 and 29 respectively. He also tallied a career high seven assists this season. A First Team All-Centennial selection, McAbee led the team in goals and points in 2006. Gauna ranked second on the team with 20 points and led the team with a career high 10 assists. A First Team All-Centennial selection, Gauna scored five goals in 2006, two of which were gamewinners.

Hopkins won a single season record 19 wins in 2006, posting a 19-2-2 record and advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Jays won their seventh regular season Centennial Conference title and third CC Tournament title.
