About the ESPNU Lacrosse Monument
The "ESPNU Lacrosse Monument" was constructed to celebrate lacrosse and allow fans to express their passion for the game by affixing their lacrosse equipment and paraphernalia onto the 24-foot-tall structure. The interactive monument (designed in the likeness of the ESPNU logo) first appeared at the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on March 3rd. It will be on display again this Saturday at the #3 Johns Hopkins vs. #2 Virginia game from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The game will also be televised live at 1 p.m. on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.

The statue will make a couple more appearances this season. At each stop, spectators will be able to attach their old equipment, allowing the structure to grow organically with items like old wooden sticks, pads and helmets, school jerseys and pennants, balls, and other gear that spans the history of the game. In addition, participants will receive ESPNU's lacrosse schedule and maps that detail the sculpture's season-long route.

ESPNU Lacrosse Monument Tour Schedule:
o March 24 - Virginia at Johns Hopkins
o May 5 - Loyola at Johns Hopkins
o May 26 and May 28 - NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship, M&T Bank Stadium

More Lacrosse on ESPNU ESPNU will televise 22 regular-season lacrosse games, including 20 men's and two women's contests. In addition, the ESPN networks will televise all 15 games from the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship. ESPNU will provide exclusive coverage of all eight First Round games (up from four last year) and Quarterfinal action (May 12 - 20); ESPN2 will televise the National Semifinals (May 26) and ESPN will present the National Championship on May 28.
