BALTIMORE, Md. -- Fresh off a 10-8 victory at then second-ranked Princeton, the Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team is tied with Virginia at the top of this week's STX/USILA Division I Men's Lacrosse Rankings. Both teams pulled off road victories against higher-ranked teams last Saturday and both picked up four first-place votes and 193 points in this week's poll.

Johns Hopkins got three goals and two assists from senior attackman Bobby Benson and two goals and one assist from senior midfielder Adam Doneger in the win over the Tigers. The victory improved Hopkins' record to 16-3 in its last 19 games and 15-1 in its last 16 regular season game. Hopkins ended the 2002 regular season as the top-ranked team in the nation, a spot the Blue Jays held for the last three weeks of the regular season. They had previously been ranked number one for one week earlier in the 2002 season.

Johns Hopkins will host Albany this afternoon at 5:00 pm before returning to action on Saturday when the Blue Jays host Penn at 2:00 pm.
