CHARLOTTE, N.C. - September 10, 2007 - The Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University (5-6, 2-0CIAA) defeated the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University (0-8, 0-2CIAA) three games to none. Line scores for the match were 30-21, 30-16, 30-18.

In the first game the Lady Golden Bulls played good defense going point to point with the Lady Broncos, but could not seem to keep up with FSU. JCSU allowed them to score point after point ending the game 30-21.

In the second game, the Lady Broncos outscored the Lady Golden Bulls again leaving the Bulls in a position where they realized they need to work harder. FSU emerged victorious in that game by a score of 30-16.

Going into the third game the Broncos once again beat the golden bulls ending the match 3-0. Leaving the Golden Bulls with a 0-8 record and raising their record to a 5-7.

Samantha Meeks led the Broncos with 12 kills followed by Cassandra Peterson with 8. For the Lady Golden Bulls, Ashley Young-Jones led the way with 9 kills followed by Venessa Roy with 5.

JCSU will take on the Yellow Jackets of Allen University Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in Brayboy gymnasium. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
