JACKSON, Miss. - In game two of the 2007 SWAC Softball Tournament the Lady Tigers of Jackson State and the Lady Lions of Arkansas-Pine Bluff battled down to the final out. With two outs and a 2-2 tied score, the Lady Tigers got a clutch single to go ahead and win 3-2. Jackson State now moves on to face Southern at 1 p.m.; Arkansas-Pine Bluff will face Texas Southern in the first elimination contest at 8 p.m. For Jackson State, Shannon Tillar went 1-for-3 with two runs scored while Amanda Boggan went 1-for-3 with one run scored. For Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Jana Diaz scored a run while going 1-for-3 from the plate. With a tied score a 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning, JSU's Kate Jackson singled up the middle to score Tillar for the game winner. |
