JONESBORO, AR - The Jackson State University women's golf team finished in fifth place at the University of Arkansas Lady Indian Classic held at the Jonesboro Country Club.

Merielle LeBlanc led JSU by shooting rounds of 78 and 77 to tie for 18th place. Nikeya Peay tied for 25th place with rouds of 77 and 80. Shasta Averyhardt shot 79 and 80 to tie for 34th place.

JSU will return to action Oct. 21 for the New Orleans Classic.
