JACKSON, Miss. -The Jackson State University men basketball team will unofficially open the 2007-08 basketball season with an exhibition game on Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center. The Tigers will present 2006-07 championship rings that night.

The defending SWAC tournament champion Tigers will host Springhill College at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers are led by SWAC pre-season all-conference player Grant Maxey and have been selected as the conference pre-season No. 1 team.
