IPFW Takes Top Ten Finish at Indiana Intercollegiate

Terre Haute , IN -The women's cross country team placed 7th out of 26 teams who competed at the Indiana Intercollegiate Big State race this past weekend.

Senior Ashley Ritchey (Leo, IN/Leo) led the IPFW pack, placing 8th out of nearly 200 runners with a time of 18:26. Rounding out IPFW's impressive performace was Mary Ballinger (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) at 19:09, Crystina and Crystal Martinez (Valparaiso, IN/Wheeler) with times of 19:36 and 19:44 respectively, as well as Valerie Hardesty (Auburn, IN/DeKalb) placing 5th for the 'Dons at 20:06.

The women's cross country team's next race will send them to South Bend, IN on September 29, 2006 to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational.
