Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW Women's Tennis Coach Eric Burns has announced the signing of Agnes Menger to a National Letter of Intent for the 2007-08 academic year.

Menger, a native of Osorio, Brazil attends Ildefonso Simoes Lopes.

She has been consistently ranked in the Top 20 in Girl 18's singles in Brazil. Her highest ranking has been #8. In her state of Rio Grande do Sul, which is one of the stronger tennis states in Brazil, she is #1.

Menger was the champion of the 2002 Master's Tournament in Santa Catarina. In 2003 she was a finalist in the National Summer Tournament and a finalist in 2005 and 2006.

"We believe Agnes can really help our team out and get us to another level." said Burns. "She has a good tennis background and got a high recommendation from her coach. She possesses solid groundstrokes and is consistent. We are excited that she is coming to IPFW and we look forward to working with her next fall."
