Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW senior goal keeper Shannon Lynn has been named the Defensive Player of the Week in the United Soccer Conference, in voting conducted by USC sports information directors.
Lynn (Brampton, Ontario, Canada) had an outstanding week between the pipes for the Mastodons. For the week, Lynn was 2-0 with two shutouts. She backstopped IPFW to wins over the New Jersey Institute of Technology (6-0) and Utah Valley State (2-0).
Lynn also assisted on a goal in IPFW's win over Utah Valley State.
This is her fourth career USC Defender of the Week nod.
The IPFW women stand at 2-2-0 on the season and return to action on Sunday, (9/10) hosting Morehead State at 1pm.
