Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW Tennis Head Coach Eric Burns has announced that the fifth IPFW Tennis Pro-Am will occur on January 13, 2007 at Pine Ridge Racquet Club. The Pro-Am is sponsored by Graham Youth Shelter.

The Pro-Am consists of two sessions on January 13th. Session I will be from 6-8 PM with sign-in beginning at 5:30 PM. Session II will be from 8-10 PM with sign-in starting at 7:30 PM.

IPFW players and coaches from the men's and women's teams will be paired with participants for two hours of doubles play. Participants will  be matched based on ability to try to ensure fun and exciting matches. Participants are guaranteed at least two sets, although more are hopefully played. Food and beverages will be provided and participants will receive a t-shirt.

The money raised by the Pro-Am helps to cover the costs of scholarships for the tennis teams. The event raises an average of $2000 each year.

"The Pro-Am is one of our best events and our players have a lot of fun playing in it." said Head Coach Eric Burns. "The event is a great chance for them to interact and network with people from the community. Overall, it gives our programs great exposure."
