Kent State Head Coach Jim Christian On Kent State's Pressure Defense in the second half... "We had to find a way to get some easy baskets, and that's kind of how we did it. With the layoff that we had (10 days) it's one thing we worked on and thought we could get better at and tonight it was big for us. Even though they got some easy ones, I thought that keeping the constant pressure we kind of wore them down as the game went on." IPFW Head Coach Dane Fife On the Kent State Loss... "That game was there for us to win, and it's just very disappointing. I thought we did a very good job of getting shots in the first half. Right during crunch time is when we tightened up. We quit cutting hard, quit making plays...I give the Kent State staff credit for making the adjustments with their team, but I think it's more our fault than what Kent State did." IPFW Senior Forward Justin Hawkins On not being able to close out the game... "They did a nice job of sustaining our run and making one of their own, and we didn't counter that. That's the biggest part of the game. We didn't get stops when we needed to, and I think our offense went away because we weren't getting stops."
